The late great Jesse "Lone-Cat" Fuller's most famous composition. A beautiful number forever engraved into the American Folk Music Songbook. I remember seeing Jesse playing on-the-street for short change in San Fran when I was passing through way back in the 60's.

Based on an old Tampa Red 78 recording. I deeply related to these lyrics during an especially tough time in my life. Tampa was an early Slide Guitar Master and the first to record on the newly manufactured 1928 Natioinal Tri-Cone Resonator guitar.
